This pisses me off…
“Sept 11th (NY) Jan 11th (Haiti) and March 11th (Japan)……. Luke 21:10-11 Then Jesus said to his disciples : “Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. There will be great earthquakes’ famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven. ‘Jesus says for behold I come quickly,’ so ask yourself r u ready? Sad to say Many won’t re post this message! Will you?”
1. The scripture actually reads:
10Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:
11And great earthquakes shall be in diverse places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
12But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name’s sake.
The part quoting Jesus is from Revelations 22.
11He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
12And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
13I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
2. There are any number of earthquake related disasters not accounted for that have happened over the past decade. 2004 Tsunami –caused by an earthquake in the middle of the Indian Ocean? Earthquakes in Chile, Pakistan, China, New Zealand? They didn’t happen on the 11th of something so they don’t matter?
3. Sept 11th wasn’t caused by a nation or a kingdom rising against another nation or kingdom – it was a terrorist group. A better example might be the conflict between India and Pakistan, but because that’s ongoing and didn’t happen on the 11th it doesn’t count as anything?
4. Let’s take a disaster that is STILL happening and make it about your faith. That’s great, folks. Let’s take away from the magnitude of the despair in Japan and turn it into “are you good with God?”
5. As horrific as these disasters are, they are not unexpected. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, an 8.0+ magnitude earthquake is expected per year. Sometimes there are more, sometimes maybe less. As we continue to build in these danger zones and more people move to those locations, we’re bound to see more destruction.
I think these kind of things are ridiculous! So…no, I’m not going to repost your stupid status.

Addition: After the comment below, I did some research just to verify…and YEP, Haiti happened on January 12th –Not the 11th. I wish people would think before they blindly re-post crap.
